Common mistakes, questions, and holes in information that newly trained or infrequent users of EMDR commonly experience when using EMDR. This program reviews the 8 phases of standard protocol. A lot of time is focused on phase 1-3, as I have found that consultees get stuck in phase 4 when phase 1-3 isn’t clear to the clinician or client.
Learning Objectives
Participants will gain further understanding of the AIP model
Participants will understand how to plan treatment beyond the first target memory
Participants will be able to understand and apply the 3-pronged protocol
Participants will understand how explain to clients what to expect in phase 4
Participants will be able to differentiate between "disturbance" and normal human experience
